Sunday Round Up and Bowl Projections

It's Michigan Week, and no matter what the national media does to dampen my spirits, I'm still fired up. Ohio State/Michigan is never a walk, no matter the records. And you can bet The Rod will do everything in his power to put a pretty dress on this ugliest of seasons by beating the Buckeyes in the finale.

So while we dream of putting an exclamation mark on the Wolverines worst season ever, here's what's others are writing about the Buckeyes today:

*Beanie Wells and Terrelle Pryor rushed for a combined 253 yards yesterday - you think Coach Tressel loves to run the ball or what.

*Pryor had a good time bantering with the Illini faithful, who gave him some friendly "gestures" and even sent a "present" his way. He's a fiery kid, but I'm afraid there might be an ugly incident at some point in his career.

*Turnovers, penalties and assorted other mistakes killed Illinois yesterday.

*The Buckeyes gethered a measure of revenge from last year's disappointing loss the Zookers.

And the Bowls? Everyone seems to be assuming the following four things will happen:
(1) Oregon State will not beat Arizona and Oregon;
(2) Penn State will not lose to Michigan State in happy Valley;
(3) Texas Tech will not beat Oklahoma in Norman;
(4) Alabama will not beat Florida in the SEC title game.

So you have three likely destinations - the Fiesta to face a Big 12 team, as Sportsline.com projects.

The Sugar Bowl to face an SEC nemisis, as suggested by CollegeFootballNews.com

Or the Capital One Bowl, with Georgia as the likely SEC representative. That's NBC Sports' take, assuming that undefeated Boise State will be get the final at-large.

Yes, the Rose Bowl is still a possibility, especially the way Penn State has struggled lately. Rematch with USC, anyone?
