As expected, #1 Ohio State cruised past eighth-seeded Michigan in the Big Ten quarterfinals, 72-62. The Wolverines were much sharper than in their slugfest with Minnesota, but could not overcome Greg Oden's 22 points and 4 blocks. Michigan is likely headed to the NIT...again. How much longer will Michigan tolerate Tommy Amaker? Apparently his wife is a prolific fund-raiser in the Michigan academic community, so the UM administration is hesitant to can Amaker. But there a point diminishing returns, as boosters and fans are beyond disgusted with this performance. Bottom line: this is the Big Ten. Don't bring a mock turtleneck wearing Dookie in this conference and expect to succeed.
