Amidst the circus of the USC game this week, the Buckeyes received some great news on the recruiting front. In-state defensive end J.T. Moore from Youngstown Boardman verbally committed on Thursday, becoming the first member of the 2010 class.
Moore is a 6'3", 230 lb athlete that plays on the weakside. He was one of the few players that received an early offer from the Buckeyes after September 1. Moore is a teammate with '09 commit Corey Linsley, whose team is off to a fast start this season. After a few thin years at the end position, the Buckeyes have added top Ohioan in the last few classes, including Soloman Thomas, Nathan Williams and Melvin Fellows. Moore seems a liekly candidate to redshirt, given the Buckeyes depth at end.
