Ohio Lineman Wastes Little Time Joining Buckeyes

After impressing the Ohio State coaching staff at the advance senior camp this past weekend, Adam Bellamy got call he was waiting for - an scholarship offer to play for the Ohio State Buckeyes. It didn't take long for Bellamy to pull the trigger, becoming the 17th member of the 2009 recruiting class.

Bellamy was recruited by most schools as an interior offensive lineman, including Michigan. But the Buckeyes are looking at him for defensive tackle. He's certainly got the size measuring 6'4" and 275+ lbs. In addition to UM, he claimed offers from Boston College, Michigan State, Vanderbilt and number of other Big Ten programs.

Initially Buckeye fans assumed the Bellamy commit was bad news for Chris Watt (IL) and some other Ohio lineman looking for offers. But since Bellamy will be working on the defensive side, it's probably more of an indication that OSU's recruitment of DT Corey Adams (AZ) might cool down.
