Buckeyes Land Top Minnesota D-Lineman

Ohio State continued its season long recruiting role by landing 4-star defensive lineman Willie Mobley. Mobley committed to the Buckeyes despite a strong push by the home state Gophers. He held offers from Oklahoma, Wisconsin, Iowa and Colorado. Mobley received a great deal of pressure to stay home from both his family and his high school coach, whose son will be plaing at Minnesota.

Mobley, who won a number of awards at summer combines, helped his high school win the 5A state title. At 6'2" and 260, he may initially start outside at DE because of his speed. But his lon-term future is inside at tackle, where he could paired with friend and fellow commit Garrett Goebel.
